kathystrick 3 Posted April 15, 2008 It sound like you are waiting for surgery....is that right Yes, I am waiting on insurance approval then will probably wait until summer to have surgery. I work in the school system, so I thought that would be best for me. No pressure to return to work before i'm ready. So you are feeling ok, other than being hungry? linksmom 0 Posted April 15, 2008 Congrats!!! I've still got 3 month before my surgery. I'm excited and a little fearful. My doctor wants me to do 2 weeks all liquids prior to my surgery
mom1945 0 Posted April 15, 2008 Yes, but I really am not that hungry....if I make sure that I get the amount of Protein in...that is a good idea about this summer....you can do your thing and when you start back to work you will be on reg. foods...I drove bus to for 11 years for West Ottawa Schools in Holland, Mi. Right I'm reitred...but so busy...

kathystrick 3 Posted April 16, 2008 I know what you mean...retired people are some of the busiest I know! I assume you are drinking Protein shakes? Any suggestions on a good one?
mom1945 0 Posted April 16, 2008 Do you have the book...from Barix Clinics....really some good shakes in there...or at your Dr. office there are some shakes that are 3.00 and they have 28 grams of pro. in them...I also get some pro mix from a weight place that I went to before...and I mix it with hot Water in a cup and slip on it like tea...really really good and 15 gr of pro...look into a health food store...let me know your date...
