Pics of my Barium Swallow

Recommended Posts

EWWWW, Cooooll!!! That is really neat! Look how the barium pools in the upper pouch and at the bottom of your bottom stomach...and you can see your band and the port tubing, too. That's really interesting! Thanks!

Now you have me wondering.... how come I didnt get to keep any pictures of my swallow???? Did you ask Spiegels office for this, or did the Hosp give them to you?

Are you able to eat and drink now?

And Kelly, THANK you for posting these photos. Very good to show those that are newbies!

The hospital gave them to me and you have to ask for them from the hospital. Yes, I can eat and drink now.

YES!!! I can totally see it and understand it now!! How cool that is!! How much (ounces) of barium do you swallow??? Is it the consistency of something like pepto bismol?

But now, I can't see the rabbit no more. :)

The radiologist told me that my opening was only about 1 mm big. I was very tight! Barium is very thick and that was just 1 little drink, more than a sip.

What is your fill level now?

Isn't it strange how different levels of fill affect people. I am at 2.25 and have no restriction to speak of, and you look so tight! What is the most fill you have ever had Kelly?

I have never had more than 2 cc's. I think the most was 1.8cc's. I think that that is very weird too, my sister has 2.5 and can still eat. There is no way I could handle that much!

So everyone's fill level is different!!!!!!!!!!!
