Alex Brecher 10,515 Posted April 16, 2008 I'm still seeing the apple lady up top. I can't wait to see BBK! I don't want the apple lady to feel bad but I always think of Snow White when I see her. You know, "Here is a lovely apple, my sweet. Heh, heh!" Not that she EVEN LOOKS like the wicked witch but her pose is like totally offering forbidden fruit! Daisalana 33 Posted April 16, 2008 Despite the complaint on the new format... I do want to send a Kudo for putting a user's pic up there. Makes it very personal, and a great idea :crying:)

It's much more personal and member supportive than apple-lady, I think.
heartfire 4 Posted April 17, 2008 I'm using Firefox or Safari most of the time though. Not IE6. I'll look for a cookie clearer or cache clearer. I always forget about those. I'll have to do it later though. Have to get to my weight management class. M
Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted April 18, 2008 Yeah, I use firefox too and I never have any problems. I seem to be the only one who sees neither BBK or Apple lady. I see big ads for bariatric surgery centers. they change daily.

Click Clear Now under the Cache section. Click Ok. Exit and relaunch the browser. 1 sfeiner reacted to this
Parvathi 2 Posted April 18, 2008 (edited) Clearing cache in Firefox - on the Mac In an open Firefox browser, click Tools, then 'Clear Private Data'. Make sure to tick the 'cache' box. In Safari on the Mac its just click Safari then Empty Cache. Edited April 18, 2008 by Parvathi typo
TheGh0st 9 Posted April 18, 2008 Rep Power was enabled by mistake today. I was about to disable it when I came up with a great idea. I want LBT to be a positive place and we really need to stop any negativity that pops up every once in a while. With that spirit in mind, members can now only leave positive reputation:thumbup: GREAT Idea! I was wondering why I only had the option for positive feedback. Didn't have anything negative to say but didn't know why the option wasn't there. But now that you explain it I think that has got to be probably one of the best ideas I've ever heard of. 1 Alex Brecher reacted to this
TheGh0st 9 Posted April 18, 2008 Question though. I see my "Rep Power" and when I clicked on the scales below my last post it stated that comment had not received any "reputation" as well as how many reputations points I currently have. OK why is my Rep Power different between my Reputation Points AND how do I find which posts received reputation comments without backtracking and hunting down all of my old posts? Is there one place I can go to look for all my reputation responses? 2 Boo Boo Kitty and Alex Brecher reacted to this
Boo Boo Kitty 3 Posted April 18, 2008 That makes sense, Alex. It goes along with the old adage "If you can't say something nice about somebody, say nothing at all" I agree! lol...too many people speak without thinking and cut others down! 1 TheGh0st reacted to this
heartfire 4 Posted April 19, 2008 (edited) Finally! Thanks Alex and Parvathi!! Like I said earlier, I always forget about the cache and Cookies files. BBK! Love your pics. You're beautiful! DH was impressed too! (Showed him your befores as well.) Edited April 19, 2008 by heartfire The secretary in me didn't like how I'd previously ended the last sentence! Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted April 20, 2008 Why do we need to clean the cache? I like being able to get stuff back without having to enter things over again.
heartfire 4 Posted April 20, 2008 Denise, the cache takes up space on your computer and will sometimes cause glitches if there's either too much or something hinky in one of the sites you've previously visited. (As least that's how I've always understood it.) If you notice your computer sometimes running slow or something not loading right, a lot of times, if you clean out the cache and restart, your computer then works a lot better.
