Mine was like that, "hate it" and I was trying to see "Boo Boo" 's picture, which I can't see and I accidently clicked on the arm part which I could see and it brought me back to the old format. ARGGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I'm not to fond of the new main page, myself. The sublists won't stay collapsed if I refresh the page, and I really liked being able to see the newest post in each forum, like the old layout showed. I think the new layout could be good with a few tweaks, but so far, I'm not thrilled. It's a little too busy for me.

Don't quite understand why the new magazine thing is the focus of the website.

I can bounce it back and forth at this point----manuevering through the new format, was disappointing. But there have been other changes over the last couple of years I didn't like and I have adjusted!!!

I do think it will limit discussions-----when you only see a few of the current threads as opposed to the newest per forum.

Maybe the goal is to take the site to a magazine type of thing as opposed to a general support board. Hate to see that happen, but I am old and set in my ways!!! LOL

Everyone stay close, when I can no longer come back to this old format I will be lost, and hollering for help!!!

Kat

Not sure if this helps, guys, but when you first go to the site, you are on the new page with the new format. A lot of message boards have a "landing page" like that. Then, if you click on the "forum" tab in the upper left of the page, that will take you to the forums in the format we all know and love. The "home" tab takes you back to the initial "landing page".

Oh, I -REALLY- don't like this. I'm here to talk to others, not read some articles. Bring back the 'normal' forum page, and fix the 'My Account' button please.

Well, it is Alex's board, not ours, and he can set it up however he wants. If he opts to put it back the old way, then he will take care of it. But if this is the new format, options are a little more limited. I would start by asking in a nicer way, and maybe explain to him why it bothers you outside of "I'm here for this not that".

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
