Cazzoom 0 Posted April 14, 2008 Day six after surgery for me and I honestly don't know if anything I am feeling is right or wrong. Im constantly dizzy/light headed when in an upright position(I have a call in to the nurse at the clinic on this) and Although I have not been hungry at all since the surgery I seem to be able to get all liquids down faster than what I have seen people talk about. That being said I think the reason for the dizziness may be that Im not eating enough??? I have lost 3kgs since the surgery though which Im rather pleased about. Even though I have read the literature, spoken to my dietitan and watched her DVD I still worry that what I am eating will move the band. I can say that my surgeon was very impressed with me on the day of surgery, In all my scans he said showed a very fatty liver, and when he opened me up he said my liver was perfect with no fat at all. Im very impressed with myself on this one as I know all the sacrifices I made was worth it. I have been in the regret phase the last couple of days(anyone else have this feeling) I guess you can all tell I am very confused about everything. If anyone can shed some light on any of my questions I'd be grateful, that is if you can decipher the madness! Thanks Cazz ____________________________________ Banded April 9th 2008 3kgs down already
kcispy4 0 Posted April 14, 2008 Hi Cazz, I was banded 3/5/08. I didn't have any problems with dizziness but have NO problems drinking as much as I want. Since you haven't been eating much you could have low blood sugar or an electorlyte imbalance. It wouldn't hurt to have some gatorade or other type of sports drink. I'm glad to hear you called the nurse. I think everyone that has gotten the lap band has had a few moments of regret early on. I know I spent a few days wondering what the hell I was thinking. I feel great now though and I know you will too. Good luck and keep us posted! :-)
