FREE!!! Any NYC bandsters want some Slimfast Optima?

Recommended Posts

Hey, I don't know if anyone would like a few premade cans of chocolate Royale Slimfast Optima, but I'm bored of the stuff, and have some I'd be happy to give away. I have at least two six packs, possibly as many as four.

You'd have to stop by my place - I'm in the Union Square area in Manhattan - but you could do that at any time, since I can just leave the cans with my 24 hour doorman.

I'll check tomorrow to see how much I have. At the moment, I know it's at least two six packs plus a couple of cans.

First person to send me a message me gets 'em.

Hmm, LD - maybe I should offer it in the April Bandsters forum, since they're all still on either pre- or post-op liquids...

Oh, these are the lower carb ones, with 24 g of carbs, of which 5 g are Fiber.

And I have five 6-packs, and a couple of extra cans...

Who knew there was a Regional Forum?

Fenton, I'll take them. I'm at Columbus Circle and time is tight since DH is not home and I run from daycare to train to work and work to train to daycare. I could stop and get them on Sturday. I drive in on Saturdays through the midtown tunnel. If it would not be too much of an inconvienience for you to hold onto them until then. Let me know. I could really use them.

CHRISTINE! I'm happy to hang on to them for you! I'm going to be out of town this weekend, but I'll leave the case with my doorman on Friday night before I leave. Do me a favour, remind me Friday morning, just to be sure.

Thank you sooooo much Fenton!!! You can e-mail me the address of your building. I sent you a message with my e-mail address. Not sure if you got it. I still have to check my e-mail.

I really appreciate your generosity.

Thank you!

Christine

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
