lifechange82 0 Posted April 13, 2008 Couldn't really find a thread on this. I am 2 1/2 weeks out, and a few of my incisions are SUPER itchy. And it's like a deep itch..if that makes sense. :confused2: My guess would be it's just in the healing process, but I just wanted opinions from everyone else who has been banded. It is not as bad now that I have all of the excess glue off, but to find relief I just gently rub over my shirt. The friction eases the pain just a little bit! Jessica Wren 0 Posted April 17, 2008 I was just banded yesterday and my incisions are super itchy today! Plus I have some pain and I think I am starting with the gas pains! tntexas 1 Posted April 17, 2008 I was banded on 03/28 and noticed my incinsions starting to itch a little right afterwords, however as time passed it got worse until I finally called my doctor on day 9 post-op. They told me to drop by the office so they could take a look. It turned out that I was allergic to the glue on the steri strips. The nurse removed the remaining ones and instructed me to buy some Hydracortisone and to take liquid benedryl. Boy did it help. I'm now 3 weeks post op tommorrow and everything is good, no more itching Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
