If I can eat 2 cups or more at a meal.........

Recommended Posts

Am I stretching my pouch or not tight enough? It's interesting. I can "feel" the food go through and have been "stuck" about once a week (even eating smaller amounts), but if I eat slowly I can consume more than the quantities people mention on this site. My weight loss has stopped at 26 pounds. I am afraid that if I get another fill I will be too tight. I was banded about 2 1/2 months ago. Advice? Suggestions?

My doc says 2 cups is too much, and I go in for fills when I hit that point. I just got another fill, and I'm back to about 1/2c per meal (which is where I was losing weight steadily).

I stalled for a month when I could eat 2 cups.

You don't have to be that tight, but in my case, I have to 'eat better' and count a lot more when I can eat that much. I like only being able to eat 1/2c, takes all the guess work out for me.

Good luck!

I agree with Fairy. When I can eat a cup or more I go for another fill. Sounds like you just need a fill.

what helps me when I need a fill and I can eat alot is I make some hummus which is high in Protein and really good for you and I take romaine lettuce and dip it in the hummus. It's SUPER yummy, filling and healthy. I had that for dinner earlier and two tiny pieces of pork tenderloin and it really filled me up good. Good luck!

I love hummus!!!!!

I have never tried using lettuce as my "dipper"... I try not to use chips or anything like that, but I do dip with pepperoni, celery, and cucumbers.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
