want_so_bad 0 Posted April 10, 2008 damn co-workers damn mcdonalds damn big macs and french fries for smelling and looking so good damn adkitns advantage Protein Shake for not tasting like the damn big mac and french fries that look and smell so good does anyone besides me find it completely mind numbing that we can put a man on the moon and yet Protein Shakes taste like crap? damn damn damn ok, well, i feel better now. had to get that out here so i didnt explode! lol, thanks! want_so_bad 0 Posted April 10, 2008 jack, omg, how gross is all that crap? yuck yuck. i havent eaten mcdonalds since i was banded, well, i havent eaten burgers and fries, i have had the grilled chicken salad. and when i do go for my kids it doesnt even seem appealling, until today. for whatever reason, today it smelled and looked so good sitting on my co-workers desk! Coo 1 Posted April 12, 2008 Firstly, THANK YOU for the timely reminder, that fast food isn't fast, you have to drive there, wait and come home again - its junk food, JUNK JUNK JUNK :biggrin: On the shakes, true they don't taste like Burger King shakes, but I honestly, hand on heart, enjoy the strawberry Optifast - but don't try me on the vanilla *arghhhhhh - YUK! want_so_bad 0 Posted April 12, 2008 i tried the strawberry Atkins advantage shake day before yesterday and i could actually drink it without gagging! yesterday i tried the slimfast low carb creamy chocolate...ick. :biggrin: so i am thinking that strawberry will be my taste of choice. i will have to try the Optifast. thanks! and i will be sure to stay away from the vanilla. Jaymie72 0 Posted April 12, 2008 Try this: Get the Carnation Instant Breakfast Vanilla sugar free add a scoop or half a scoop of non flavored (yeah right) whey Protein add fat free milk and a little ice then add some fat free or sugar free or whatever Peanut Butter mix it up and I promise you that you will LOVE it (well as long as you like peanut butter) You will also get lot's of protein from this drink When I was doing this I did it for breakfast and it was approx 270 cal. per shake and 32 grams of protein I hope you like it let me know!
