soontoBthin 0 Posted April 13, 2008 NWWLS has support group meetings on the 2nd Monday of each month at 10:00 am and the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00. The topic this month is self-esteem and self-image. I have not attended one at NWWLS as it is too far, but do attend other local groups. I would like to attend one at NWWLS some time but they do not allow anyone not banded there to attend (or so I heard from another bander), and I do not want to make the trip alone at night. It gets over at 8:30 which means I would not get home until 10:30 anyway, and I have to get up at 4:30 am for work. I hear the group is an excellent one, and do want to try to attend sometime. neatobandito 0 Posted April 16, 2008 I'm getting banded by Dr. Michaelson @ NWWLS, on 4/17, so you'll soon be seeing me at the support groups (most likely the evening ones).
MerryHearted 20 Posted April 16, 2008 I try to make the Monday night ones. Give a holler on here if you'll be going - we can hook up and say hi. Did you go to the one last night?
Samanthakarls 0 Posted May 8, 2008 I went to an amazing support group meeting here last month. The topic was all about food choices. They even brought in a bunch of examples of food choices for us to compare. The night went great and I left with tons of meal ideas! The support system they have set up really works for me. neatobandito 0 Posted May 12, 2008 Oh, man! I completely forgot about tonight's, and I don't think my husband could make it back in time to watch the kids and/or accompany me. Looks like I'll have to shoot for next month's. :wink2:

WannaBSkinnyB 0 Posted October 30, 2008 Jewels68- that is my doctor also. What date are you getting banded? I have my consultation appointments next tuesday. Did you have any problems with insurance?
Jewels68 0 Posted October 30, 2008 Insurance is going great so far. I finish my 90 day dietitan thing on Nov 3rd. I hope to have surgery on the 25th of Nov. However they won't make an appt until insurance gives them the approval. I have my fingers crossed that they still have an opening. Last week I heard he had 3 openings on the 25th & 3 openings on the 26th. Are you going through insurance? Who do you have? I have Aetna through Comcast. Comcast with switching to a Blue Cross national plan in Jan. So I really would like to get this done before than. Even though it is also covered under Blue Cross. WannaBSkinnyB 0 Posted October 31, 2008 I have BCBS (Anthem) I am hoping everything goes thru right away. I was told they are a preferred provider. What is a 90 day diet? Was that thru the doctor or your insurance?
