nesser081982 0 Posted April 8, 2008 I was wondering, if you buy the chocolate Protein Shakes, could you freeze one and eat it like ice cream? Or does that like freeze out the nutrients and stuff like that?
bbjerseygirl 0 Posted April 8, 2008 you can do that - I do all the time and they are a great way to get in Protein
bandfan1 0 Posted April 8, 2008 I can't imagine that it would lose any of the beneficial ingredients. The only thing that you should be concerned about is how you swallow it. I'm thinking maybe you should let it melt completely in your mouth first and then swallow. I went for my pre-op appt. yesterday and the doctor specifically told me that when I am on Clear Liquids, NO JELLO!!! I know that every doc is different, but based on what my doc said, I am going to stick with his rules. I am definitely NOT going to listen to my body. That is how I got to be 100lbs overweight!!!! :frown: Good luck!!!
mstrina27 0 Posted April 9, 2008 U know what I do with mine is add tons of ice with my slim fast optima shakes and put it in my magic bullet.... and it is so good... mae 0 Posted April 9, 2008 I had Atkins Advantage Protein shake today. I always by anything Choc. It does need to be cold, real cold. I am going to try the ice and the ice blender. Let me know if you hear aboutt freezing the shake and eating it like ice cream. It probably does have to melt all the way to swallow it.
Shamrockgirl60 1 Posted April 10, 2008 Intersting, I have a nice Ice Cream maker. I wonder if in the summer I can put shakes in it and make "ice cream" and do this with Crystal Light and make slush sort of a low cal sorbet thing. I'll have to try it when the weather is warmer. also maybe blending fruits and makeing sorbets might be nice
Brandy~ 2 Posted April 10, 2008 I have the Walmart sugar free equate shakes that I put in the bullet with ice and I add 1/2 a scoop of EAS Protein powder to for Breakfast. If I feel like having a thinner one I use carnation instant Breakfast sugar free. I think I will try freezing a few in my popsicle molds
