Doctor in Inland Empire Area (CA)

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I just recently was approved for my consultation appt. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good doctor in the San Bernardino area?

Maybe you or someone you knew has had experience with someone I can get an idea of what to expect with them. Thanks!

I recommend Dr. Douglas Krahn of Western Bariatric. He is fantastic. His staff is also great!

My mother and I have both seen Dr John Coon in Riverside. We both just love him. He is so kind and takes the time to listen and answer our questions. He never rushes us. Before my appointment I went to his support group at Parkview and met many of his patients that have had surgery and they have been so supportive and helpful. I really would recommend Dr Coon.

No, I missed the last one. I got mixed up on the day.

I know, I was hoping to have mine done before my husband gets back from his deployment. Good luck to you.

Hi. I am very excited because I got my surgery date with Dr John Coon for next month. Dr Coon is in Riverside and Rancho Cucamonga and I really recommend him if you are looking for a doctor in the Inland Empire. He will do my surgery at Parkview Community Hospital. I keep you posted about my progress after surgery. Until then I am reading all the information Dr Coon gave me. I have my final pre-op visit next week and will meet with the dietician. Wow! finally everything is happening and I an sooooooooo ready! I just love DR Coon and his staff.

Even though I live in the high desert I am going to LA for my surgery. Dr Carson Liu is supposed to be one of the best in the country. I have talked to several of his patients and they are very happy with him. I just dont look forward to the ride every time I need a fill.

Hi,

I'm wondering if everyone is still happy with Dr. Coon? I was denied by my insurance for surgery with Dr. Liu. Any input would be greatly appreciated. :tt1:

I live close to Riverside but my insurance would only allow me to go through a doctor in Orange County. Are there any support groups in the riverside area?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
