Good Friday? NOT!!!

Recommended Posts

Ok, I have had a VERY BAD Good Friday! First I got up at the usual time 4:30a.m. and weighed myself. NO loss again for the 4th week in a row!!;) Cried all during my shower. Then went out to my car to go to work and there was 3 or 4 inches of snow!:D Had to clean off and dig out the car and then because of that I was late for work. I'm the one with a key so I made others late for work also.:D Then there were soooooo many kids today who were hyper because of the excitement of the Easter parties. Children showed up in my class on Friday who haven't been there for a while. We had what felt like a million children!:cross-eye (It was cute to watch them hunt for eggs in the snow.) I was still so upset about the weight thing that I was going to pig out and I didn't care!!! Well I was eatting a mini PB cup when they brought me the phone, It was my Surgeons nurse Nancy. (she calls me about twice a month to check on me) Here I am eating candy and saying "Oh yea everything is great". I then had to work 2 hours over because of all the kids there. I was waiting for someone to hit me on the way home or my car to run out of gas. With the way my day was going I didn't know what to expect.

I pigged out on pizza last night. But am on the right track again today. Rode bike and had only a Protein Drink for Breakfast.< /p>

Sorry guys I just had to vent!! Thanks for listening! Your the best!!!!!;-)

One bright spot was that it was PAY DAY!!:banana :banana :banana

Wow, Terri! Today's a brand new start! Getting up at 4:30 puts a kink in your day right off the bat. Hope your weekend gives you some time to recoup. And 43 pounds is nothing to sneeze at! Hang in there.

I'm sorry Terri that you had such a rotten day. Lets just hope they are foew and far inbetween. Are you drinking your Water? I find that when I am dieting and not getting it in the weight slows down. (I'm not banded yet).

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
