drod309 0 Posted April 6, 2008 I am 3 days post surgery...I have 2 questions..Is it normal to be able to feel my port, due to it sticking slightly out of my belly and is it normal to have sharp pains centralized exactly where my port is?
smgallop 1 Posted April 6, 2008 I had my surgery on April 3rd, and my port site is really really sore! I don't know about the part where the port is partially sicking out. Is it still under the skin? You may want to call your doctor just to check.
mom2bbb 0 Posted April 6, 2008 Hi. I was banded 6 days ago. I just checked my doctors list of reasons to call in. One of them is centralized pain. Im not sure if youre supposed to be able to feel you port or not. I cant feel mine. I would CALL asap, just to make sure. Let us know how it turns out. nymoosic 0 Posted April 6, 2008 My port didn't stick out (it actually made my skin look sunken) but I had lots of port pain for months. I couldn't sleep on my side or belly for two months. I couldn't bend over easily either. My doctor said it was totally normal. But, if I were you I would still call to double check.
petlady51 0 Posted April 8, 2008 I do not think this sounds normal at all. Who did the surgery? I am just curious as I also have simular problems with my port.
nymoosic 0 Posted April 8, 2008 Dr. Singh did my surgery. (LOVE him!) And the pain eventually went away. I feel great now. It just took awhile to heal.
drod309 0 Posted April 8, 2008 Thanks for the reply to my original thread guys...My port is still slightly sore but is getting better, what I meant by sticking out was written wrong, I meant that it leave a small bump where you can see where it is. The nurse told me that its more noticeable on guys than girls. hmmm
