Puffy Stomach

I am 10 days post op and my stomach is still very puffy from the gas used during surgery. How long did it take before the gas was all gone and your stomach was back to normal?

I Am Also 10 Days Out. My Stomach Isn't Puffy-just Large And Hard. It Goes Down Everyday. I Took A Long Walk Yesterday And That Helped As Well.

Hi I was banded 3/27/08 I too have very hard stomach. Hoping this will go away soon.

My stomach/swelling has gone down, but I keep having a sharp pain right below my rib cage, left side. I assume this is gas. Has anyone else had this type of pain?

The gas stays with you for several weeks. Mine caused pain in my shoulder for over a week. I started taking gas-x a lot and that helped. It also helped to take very small sips of the Protein Shakes and mushies. Try not to gulp air when you do.

My sharp pain was on my left side. I attributed it to my port being on that side. I still am getting those sharp pains.

Gas X didn't touch my gas pains. The only thing that worked was walking but I couldn't tolerated walking for more then a few minutes.
