Melissa300 - you are doing great and not losing as slow as you think either. I was banded on Oct. 12th - and I lost 40lbs... but then GAINED 7lbs back. I just now had a 2cc fill on Thursday (April 10th). Back on liquids until Monday. That makes for a total of 3.5cc's in my 10cc band. So hopefully i will begin to lose again. You are doing great! Don't let your perception of losing slowly make you think poorly. You are doing great!!!!

ABC,

Thanks for the support. I am going through a rough period bc they removed a lot of Fluid from my band. I am struggling just to not gain weight bc I can eat too much and I am always hungry. I am trying to stick to the rules so I don't gain weight. It is GREAT that you lost 40 pounds, so keep up th egood work. I guess every now and again we have setbacks, but the main thing is that we ARE LOSING!!!

Melissa

You should ask the surgeon what is causing it, and what you can do.

For me, I have found that even if I keep calories between 900 - 1100, I won't lose if I don't keep carbs (including veggies) below about 30 grams a day. Of course I don't exercise like I should, but I have had good results up until recently - mostly because I have gotten sloppy about sticking to my diet.

For me, low carbs and calories, good Protein, and appetite control are the keys. So a typical meal ideally would be 2-3 ounces of poultry, lean meat or fish and then 1 oz (like 1/4 cup) of a veggie. Some days (or weeks) are tougher than others.
