Well, if you aren't drinking enough Water, that's probably what it is. You didn't really give enough information for anyone to try to help....

Hi Travel girl.

I was banded on March 5th, I had been doing well, felt great!

My little brother passed away a week and a half ago...I 've been depressed but thought My eating was undercontrol? When I woke this morning I felt light headed...drank apple juice had a banna and some almonds. I have not had a fill yet so I am able to drink Water.< /p>

Maybe it is stress or sadness ( not sure).

I am not feeling like myself and wanted to find out if anyone had felt dizzy or light headed...sorry Just needed some reasurrance :-(

Maybe add some Protein, too. It can help stabilize your blood sugar levels, if that's the cause.

I'm so sorry to hear about your brother. Grief and stress can wreak havoc on our systems, with or without the band.

I'd like to say that dealing with that kind of loss gets easier with time, but in my experience, it just doesn't. Sometimes it does seem to be farther away, tho. You'll be in my prayers.

I'm sorry for your loss.....

Stress could very easily be a factor in it.....that's a lot to deal with....recent surgery and the death of a close family member.

Keep yourself well hydrated, get your Protein in, take your Vitamins....

(wear your overcoat, don't forget your umbrella, do you need to go to the bathroom before we leave.....sorry, the Mom in me won't lie dormant)

Best to you as you heal your body and your broken heart.

I'm sorry to hear about your brother.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm light-headed today too. It's freaking me out, because this is NOT normal. I had a decent Breakfast, so I'm sure it's not a low blood sugar issue, there's no blood in my stool or urine, no chest pain or arm pain, and I stopped by the pharmacy to get my blood pressure checked (normal). It's esp bad if I bend over and stand back up.

So my doc has me busy chugging down liquids -- and avoiding caffeine!! :cheers2:If a day with lots of Fluid doesn't solve it, I'll be callin the doc back. :cursing:

Yes my Drs. said drink Water when in doubt. It makes me feel much better and evens satisfies my hunger. Never thought water would ever make me feel better but it does.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
