My amusing brain.

Over Christmas break, my son and I discovered that not everybody has a radio in their head. We had always taken it for granted that other people can just normally “listen” to music even when nothing external is playing. It’s like an internal soundtrack I guess. Music is very, very important to me.

Here’s an example of what I mean about my head-radio: One morning, I’d been listening to Rammstein while working on my math homework. I get ready for my afternoon class on autopilot. This means putting books in bag, and getting my mp3 player, PDA, and stuff like that. I was about halfway to school before I realized that the music I was jamming to was only playing in my head… I’d completely forgotten my mp3 player in my apartment!

Anyone else have a head radio?

Yep, I've always got a song playing. If it's not a song, it's some phrase, somethng I've got on my mind...eg: "and you thought I was kidding" after a converstaion with DH. The phrase goes round and round, to a beat or rhythm. And I'll tap my teeth together to the rhythm if I'm stressed. Once I realize it and it starts to bug me, I'll think of a song and get THAT stuck. Right now it's "here we go, we're going round the track, GOin' round the track, AND we won't come back..." who knows if the words are right but it's the train song from the Dumbo movie the kids have been watching. A bit aggravating, the things in my head sometimes...

Mine is worse. I make up entire drill team routines to songs while I am listening or singing in my head. My dream job is to choreograph, but I haven't done that stuff since highschool. I am psycho about it and if I am listening to a CD and doing it I will repeat it until I have the whole routine down in my head. Hopefully one day it will pay off for me...I guess if I have a dance routine to every song maybe someday someone will pay me for it. HA!

I'm with Penni have long conversations with myself Questions and Answers. My son usually asks who I'm talking to.

But no I am not fortunate to hear music in my head.

I'm the person you pull up to who is talking and there is no one else around. LOL

I knew I clicked with you for some reason. I've had long therapy sessions about my radio head. Every morning I'm waken by a song running through my brain. It's never the same song, and sometimes it's a stupid commercial jingle. I can't turn on the radio or TV, either, because I have to sing the whole song through a few times. And they aren't always songs I like (or even know.) I had the old "Bandaid Sticks Where it's Supposed to" jingle this morning, which I haven't even heard since the 80s.

But the shrinky dink just looked at me as if I were nuts. Uh, isn't it his job to treat me like I'm not nuts?

Another thing I do is I'll start laughing out loud for no reason. People will walk in and ask me what I'm laughing at. I can't control thoughts that fly through my head, and every so often a funny memory will flood back in so fast that I can't control my laughter.

The scary thing about this is I remember asking my mom 1000 times growing up, "why are you laughing when nobody else is in the room?" I inherited it from the scary Momster!

AHAHAHAHA!!! Oh my gawd! Yup, every morning a song wakes me up too! My husband thinks I'm nuts, but Spudboy does the same thing too.

Yeah, some of my co-workers think I'm nuts. This afternoon I made one of my friends listen to the song that was playing in my head. ...

I frequently laugh at apperently nothing as well. But I don't have ANY memories of my mother laughing. Not a single one. I don't think she even has a sense of humor. What a sad way to live...

YUP I can be intensely working at my computer or doing my workouts and start laughing LOUDLY. John has asked me several times what I am laughing at. I don't have the heart to tell him sometimes I am laughing at the idea of him dancing a tango. ROFLMAO!!!!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
