Hello,

Obama is not black. He is Blite. He's as much white as he is black. It's his associations that I'm concerned about.

Congrats to Obama, I think he has taken it.

I am reading alot of forums on Australia based websites & other community group forums and it's amazing how much they support Obama even though we cant vote! lol

We have all the coverage here and it's great to see Obama ahead.

luluc if they can figure out who started a fire in California from a little pile of ashes, they should be able to figure out who erected a KKK sign in Dallas. I'm in Texas and that's a little too close to home for me. I'm white and I feel threatened by that.

Like I posted last night about the intimidation and assaults on people in North Carolina, this is the kind of stuff we may be faced with today in America while we're trying to have a fair and honest election.

We can't have a fair and honest election - the right wing terrorists in our own country just won't allow it. I should have said ignorant right wing terrorists. It's little more accurate.

You mean like the Black Panthers using their intimidation techniques?

Aw Beth, don't freak out, it's a joke.

Almost as funny as mine. I don't know a leftist alive who wouldn't snuff his granny to garner the sympathy vote. Just collateral damage.

My faith is restored in humanity.

When people are given the opportunity to do the right thing, they will.

God Bless America!

I am so proud tonight...

Watching TV right now is just amazing. Times Square looks like New Years Eve. I wish I were in Chicago right now to participate in this moment in history.

Someone e-mailed this to me. I think it's pretty funny...

November 5th Etiquette

After watching the final debate the other night, it dawned on me that

Obama could actually win this thing. If that happens, there will be a

lot of people (some of our co-workers included) who will be afraid that

an Obama presidency will usher in the end of days. They'll be watching

us on November 5th (the day after the election) for signs of the end

times. To keep the peace and keep a lot of folks from getting nervous, I

think we should develop a list of acceptable celebrations and behaviors

we should probably avoid - at least for the first few days:

1. No crying, hugging or shouting "Thank you Lord" - at least not in

public

2 No high-fives - at least not unless the area is clear and there are

no witnesses

3. No laughing at the McCain/Palin supporters

4. No calling in sick on Nov 5th. They'll get nervous if too many of us don't show

up.

5. We're allowed to give each other knowing winks or nods in

passing.Just try to keep from grinning too hard.

6. No singing loudly,we've come this far by faith..(it will be

acceptable to hum softly)

7. No bringing of barbeque ribs or fried

chicken for lunch in the company lunchroom for at least a week (this may

make us seem too ethnic)

8. No Cupid Shuffle during breaks (this could

indicate a little too much

excitement)

9. Please no "Jeffersons" music(we are going to try to remain

humble)

10. No doing the George Jefferson dance (unless you're in your office

with the door closed)

11. Please try not to yell----BOOOO YAH!

12. Just in case you're wondering, doing the running man, cabbage patch,

or the Roger Rabbit on the highway is 100% okay.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
