It's_Christine 0 Posted May 27, 2008 Daminl, I chugged a chilled bottle of mag citrate a couple of hours ago. What about you?
daniml 0 Posted May 27, 2008 My doc didn't mention doing anything like that, so that's why I was wondering. I was just told to be on liquids all day today.
It's_Christine 0 Posted May 27, 2008 Well good for you since I am not feeling great with this laxative churning through me LOL. I have noticed here there is a wide variation on what is done from surgeon to surgeon. Did you have the 2 week clear liquid preop diet?
daniml 0 Posted May 27, 2008 No, I didn't have to do that either. Just today. I have also noticed that there are a lot of different instructions from the different surgeons. Good luck with your surgery tomorrow!!!!!
It's_Christine 0 Posted May 27, 2008 Thanks same to you! I am sure we will both do great
Allison 2 Posted May 27, 2008 Hey bandfan! Hope your first fill went well today!!!! I can't believe only 2 days left! Good luck to everyone with dates coming up as well!!!!! WOOHOO!!!
daniml 0 Posted May 28, 2008 Well, my surgery got postponed. We found out a week ago that my white blood count was too high so they put me on an antibiotic. Checked my count again on Tuesday and it was still too high so the surgeon said he would not do the surgery. I went to the doctor today and it's a sinus infection. He put me on a stronger antibiotic and I'm waiting to hear when my surgery will be now. I'm hoping for next week some time. Good luck to the rest of you! boxergirl301 0 Posted May 29, 2008 Ok so I'm a little late responding to this but I just found this site like 2 days ago (wish I had found it like 2 months ago). Anyway, I was banded 5/23 in Conroe Texas. Hope all the May bandsters are doing well. I hope that most of you are off those yucky Clear Liquids.

angelic_1 0 Posted May 30, 2008 Hey Bandfan, how'd the fill go? I am in Bandster hell- I am hungry, with minimal restriction and can't wait until I can get a fill. I feel like I am just dieting. Plus, my life is very stressful right now. We have to move, and the place we were going to move to flooded, so I had to quickly find another (we have to be out of our present place by this weekend!). Luckily, I found us a place, and even more lucky, we hadn't moved yet to be flooded. Thank goodness!!!
Allison 2 Posted May 30, 2008 (edited) Thanks TMFRITTS!!!!! I got home from my stay at the hospital a couple hours ago, I'm pretty sore, and starting to get reallllly itchy!!!!! I can't wait to start loosing weight. Right now I'm feeling really worried about eating, its like when I first got braces, I didn't eat any solid food for weeks because I was afraid they would fall off!!! Now its kind of the same feeling, I know I can't eat solid food for a while but I'm really nervous about something bad happening!!!!! I don't want my band to slip or anything! There is always something new to worry about lol. Thanks for the support! P.S. Good luck everyone being banded on these last two days of May!!!! SydneyLouWho 0 Posted May 31, 2008 I am on day 3 after surgery. I feel the same way that you do. I am afraid to eat. But, I have started eating full liquids. I love the Campbells Velvety Potato Soup. It took the whole day to eat it, but it felt great going down. I have a very full feeling at the top of my stomach. I don't know if it is because of the lapband, or just sugery pain. It hurts a little when I breathe. Good luck to you.
globally yours 0 Posted May 31, 2008 Hi All I was banded on May 27th. All went well, and the Dr was surprised at how much I was walking. A bit of a setback for me though because I caught my hubby's cold. So pretty miserable from being sore from the surgery, and now the cold. GRRR. Sneezing and coughing aren't much fun right now. I tried some strained cream of chicken Soup. Drank abou 3/4 of cup, and felt so full like I was gonna burst! Lesson learned.
