eejaydiva 3 Posted April 3, 2008 Hello! I'm 15 days post-op and feeling pretty good! However, i have a few cravings that are going to win soon and I need to figure out what to do. I absolutely am dying for Pho noodles, which is a Vietnamese dish of beef broth, egg noodles and soft meat. I'm sure I could handle the beef and broth, but are egg noodles any easier to digest than regular Pasta? I know that rice, bread and pasta are usually no-no's for bandsters, but since I'm not filled yet, I am wondering if I can have one last farewell meal with a favorite dish? ANY advice or personal experience would be soooo nice. I'm literally losing my self-control! I REALLY want those darn noodles! HELP!
trystelle 3 Posted April 3, 2008 It's important to follow your Dr's post op instructions. But you don't have to assume Pasta, rice and noodles are off limits. I can eat all of them very slowly in small quantities. Different foods are hard for different people. Although I have good restriction-I haven't run into anything I can't eat. Your band and tolerances will be unique to you!
sfeiner 2 Posted April 3, 2008 Give it a try. Go slow, chew well.
