I don't want a hit on my credit report, unless I know for sure. Thanks both clinics work with medical financiers they will take jsut about anyone be aware the rate of interest is much higher than a bank.. so if you ca nget a bank loan do it or mortgage etc. If you are talking to TLBC or SWLC just phone and ask what their financing companies will accept... I know they are higher risk loans so much much higher interest rates good luck. Heather
Doddie63 6 Posted April 3, 2008 what's "fica" mean? Doddie
so done with it all 1 Posted April 3, 2008 It's actually FICO and it just means your credit rating score. All lenders use it and you have to hit a certain score to qualify for different products at different places. Lots of things can affect your score other than just credit alone. The more times people run a bureau on you, the lower the score. The more often you change addresses, the lower the score. FICO is short for Fair Isaac Co. They started this form of credit scoring. tapshoes 2 Posted April 4, 2008 I didn't know about the changing addresses affecting my credit rating. As someone who's career path includes changing jobs and location about every 3-5 years, this is news to me! I have lived in multiple provinces, and many cities within each province, and this is the first I heard of this. Interesting. My financial advisor has never mentioned this - and she has been my advisor for 20 years. I must ask her this month when I participate in that one and ONLY experience in which all Canadians have the same opinion....doing my taxes!

It's more of a change of address within 2 years. They won't tell you how the credit score is based since they are not supposed to. Since I no longer work in financial services, I am free to say anything I like now. LOL
tapshoes 2 Posted April 4, 2008 Thanks Fousilly (Seinfeld fan?) Even with that, in the last 2 years I have lived in 2 cities, and within one of them 2 different addresses. This is such a revelation to me. :cursing: Maybe that opportunity I was thinking of in Edmonton (another province another job) can wait for another year...man, it sounds like I can't keep a job, but that isn't it, honest!!! So many opportunities and my career motto is 'Have a better offer, will travel. thanks for this insight.
