Boysaway 0 Posted April 2, 2008 Can anyone offer a physiological explanation of why my band is so tight early in the day? I have difficulty even drinking in the morning and can't get solids down until late evening. Why is this? I would have thought a night resting would loosen the band, if anything. Any ideas out there? Heatherz88 2 Posted April 2, 2008 I had the exact same issue! Couldnt even drink Water in the morning. What i did was drink hot tea and ate Soups and it took about a week and 1/2 before I could eat solids after my first fill. And once i realized that i wasnt drinking enough water that cleared up a lot.

TulipStar 2 Posted April 3, 2008 There are some other threads on here about this topic. I think it has to do with lying flat. The reason I have this theory is that if I take a nap lying down and then try to eat, I can't. However, if I take a nap only partially reclined in my chair, I can eat. I am really tight in the morning too. I just know that I can't eat before about noon.
Paigey 7 Posted February 5, 2011 Dredging up an old topic.... I didn't really see an answer for why this happens, so I thought I'd bring it up again for a fresh perspective. I'm on my third fill, but it didn't just happen with the last one. It actually started right after the first one. Anyway, my band is ridiculously tight in the mornings, it loosens up a little by lunch and I am able to do shakes or Soups, but it's not until dinner time that I can eat anything with real substance. Does anyone know the reason for this? Is it something that usually evens out or is it just how the band works on some people?
