I walked up and looked at the bag 18 fat grams in a little peice plus all the other's that I can't spell haha. I said no thank's walked away. only to come home hard boiled egg's

which I love so much passed those up to.

well every one take care have a nice easter. most of all God bless every one!

That's restraint JQ!

For some ungodly reason there was a strained supply of Cadbury eggs in my entire city last night. After 2 grocery stores and a Wal-Greens I almost gave up. Instead my dutiful husband went to an older part of town and found me one. AHHHHHHHHH, sweet relief. Only a fat girl will go to 5 stores to try to find the gooey yummy goodness of bunny eggs. HA! Anyways, I had my 1 egg and the restraint is back. No more until next year!!

I AM SO FREAKING WEAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've only been at this a month and I've already cheated. Bad, bad daisy!

I feel incredibly guilty.

You, my friend, need to pull yer socks up. You are not bad. You can stop thinking about "cheating," "bad," "off the wagon," all those ugly diet words that have plagued just about all of us for years. 'Cause this is not a short-term diet but a new way of life.

Guess what? I'm no longer having a pint of ice cream every day -- just one really good serving whenever I get an impossible craving (once a month, if ya get my drift). I just went to Coldstone, and I don't feel guilty! For the first time ever. And neither should anyone here who's enjoying a little seasonal sugar. Look at all of us on this board who are still indulging on occasion and still losing weight.

So Miss Daisy, tomorrow is another day. . . and meanwhile, you are getting a kick from the size-11s!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
