Is Excedrine OK to take with a lapband?

Many surgeons say no or very, very limited intake of NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) which includes aspirin and ibuprofen, because they can irritate your stomach. Excedrin contains aspirin. I'd suggest asking your surgeon.

About how often do you take them? I'll be banded next month. Excedrine is the only thing i've found to get rid of a head ache. I don't take them too often, maybe 2 or 3 a month. I'm hoping that's allowed.

My fill doctor prefers that I take Excedrin over Motrin which is a good thing because Excedrin is the only product that will get rid of my bad headaches. To be sure though, talk to your own doctor.
