Women Torture

Recommended Posts

I HATE CONTROL TOP PANTYHOSE!!!!! Sorry, sitting at work and thinking how much more comfy my tummy would be feeling right now if I didn't have to endure this restrictive torture device.

Well, I suppose you would say that I don't HAVE to wear them....but actually, I do. I wear a suit to work and what else can make you look half way normal? At least they minimize some of my lumps and bumps.

Ok, feel better now. Thank you.

Hi Nicole, have you tried snipping the sides right at the waistband, not all the way down, just that little thick waistband part. Just use a pair of scissors. You'd be amazed at the relief it brings! *wink* :D

Forget about the hose! Buy some of those new spandex underpanty shorts-type-things. I LOVE them. I see them on TV all the time, but I got a couple pairs at Walmart. They're great under pants or under dresses if you don't need hose on your feet (like if you're wearing boots or sandals.)

OH, P.S. I heard on the radio that panty hose actually have a great use. I didn't believe it, so I had to try it. They say use a pair of hose like an eraser to erase the white deodorant markings that get on clothes when we get dressed (always happens to me.) Guess what? The hose works! No lie. Nothing, not even warm Water and soap gets the deodorant out, but the hose is just like a little pencil eraser and it removes every bit of white deodorant. Go figure.

Delarla is right, those things are great, I am a sandal person, so I wear mostly lots of sandals, so these are great for me, I used to wear panty hose all the time, and hated it, I always got too hot in them, and they were to tight and its a pain in the butt if you don't get them up just right, the feeling you get when they are on twisted is horrible, I was ahead of the time, I used to buy the hose and cut them and wear them as a panty girdle, shorter for dresses, longer for pants, I should have marketed this, It was my idea, and they stole it..

Notice how the men invented them but wouldn't be caught dead in them LOL

I know of a few guys that wear them under their pants...in the snow. They sware it kepts the moisture out, and keeps their weewees warm... :Bunny .

I never wear pany hose. EVER. When I crashed my motorcycle, I ended up with a terrible scar on my leg from the engine where I was burned. (people are white meat BTW...) The nylon has a terrible effect on my scar.

When I do have to wear a suit, I just don't wear hose.

The tummy part doesn't bother me, it's that scratchy, aggrivating, irritating rubbing between the legs. It always feels like one legs is on higher than the other, errrr!

Estela, you should have patented them, now they sell something similar on QVC or HSN, one of those shows. So glad spring is here, no more knee highs for me, let the toe show begin.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
