Having trouble drinking your water?

Recommended Posts

I make my Water more palateable by chunking up a peeled cucumber, a whole lemon pouring water over it and keeping it all in the fridge. Very refreshing.

I am a fan of ginger too and I steep some peeled, chopped ginger in hot water and let it cool then add it to my water pitcher. Drinking water has always made me a little nauseous so the ginger helps, but I really like the taste of it.

Have you tried propel or crystal light to add to your Water for flavor. These two help me and I also need a little extra to drink the water each day!

You know, I've never had difficulty drinking enough Water until after my 2nd fill...I've always been good at drinking at least 2-3 liters/day before surgery, but now...not so good. Thanks for the suggestions. Anything will help at this point! :crying:

I am not a big fan of plain old Water either. If it weren't for crystal light, I probably wouldn't get any in.

I like the 4C stuff better than Crystal light...there's one in particular I've found palatable--the citrus Vitamin stick one. The reason I chose 4C (tea makers..) is because it's high in Vitamin C, even if it's not their "Vitamin" stuff. They have lemonade, fruit punch, etc....all with the day's vitamin C.

I prefer sugar free koolaid or unsweet tea if I'm not in a Water mood (it happens).

Cucumber and lemon at the same time? I've never heard of cucumber in Water, but I'm intrigued..

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
