General Insurance Question

In the experience of most people, have complications been covered by your insurance ? For example, I'm curious if I ever have a band slip or erosion, would surgeries and procedures to fix things like that be covered by insurance ? Or if I have some emergency that I have to go to the ER for directly related to my band, is that covered ?

I'm trying not to fall into the trap of only worrying about what I have to do to GET the band. I want to make sure I can afford to live with it !! I'd love to hear about any experiences you all have had in that regard. Thanks in advance !

It depends. If your insurance paid for your band, complications are most likely covered. If you are self-pay, complications (direct results of the band) as a generalized rule are not.
