Poll ends April 3, so shall I start a new post then, or should we start posting for April exercise right in this thread, starting tomorrow?

I think we should all pick a number of workouts to complete for April, that way we're not forced to meet a certain minutes criteria. For example: Hypothetically, I could exercise really hard for 15 minutes or take it easy for 45 minutes. Those 15 minutes might be a lot more effective than the 45 minutes. By doing workouts per month, we can decide how much time each session takes and it's more flexible. Any thoughts.

I don't mind doing 630. It was a very busy month for me so I did find it hard to get to 600 this month, though I did just make it.

You could do "sweating" minutes and non-sweating minutes...so when you are sweating it's 1:1 (one real minute equals an exercise minute) if your not sweating it's 2:1 (2 real minutes equals one of our exercise minutes)...So if your half-assing it then a 45 minute non-sweating workout would be 22 minutes...suck...that might push some people!?!?

Just a thought, maybe too many numbers this early en la manana...

Well, I know that I take an hour of Pilates every week, walk for an hour downtown after that.

I walk 20 minutes in the AM and 20 minutes at lunch, and then 30 minutes downtown just about everyday after work.

I can't say that I am sweating, although my legs certainly tingle when I finally get on the subway for the trip into Brooklyn.

On the weekends, I walk again both days, for an hour. But I don't count the twenty odd trips up and down the cellar stairs for the laundry, or the vacuuming I do every few days because of my dog.

Hey...sorry that wasn't my idea, I was trying to quote Miss Tulip, but it didn't work so well.

Minutes work better for me than "20 workouts" sounds like Chrissann is the same way....because I do short spurts - 15 minutes here, 15 minutes there - basically my activity is spread throughout the day for me - not all at once....but not all my minutes are created equal, I think I'm going to do the 2:1 if I don't break a sweat, or not count those minutes at all....we'll see if I feel different when I only have 430 good minutes on 4/29!! ha ha ha!

Let's get crack-a-lackin'!!!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
