Jess587 0 Posted March 31, 2008 I never thought that it would happen but my surgery is finally scheduled for April 10th. All I have to do is my nuclear stress test. Has anyone had that? Any last words of advice. I am nervous a little but it still doesn't seem real!!:cursing:

sllewell 0 Posted March 31, 2008 :smile2:I am scheduled at 1:30 in afternoon. I am looking forward to this after 8 months. I have been on my liquid diet 5 days and have lost 5 lbs. If i don't think about the 10 days I am fine. I would love SOMETHING TO EAT. How long was your pre-surg liquid diets? 03/27 252.7# 03/31 248.0#

Guest TXrangersfan Posted March 31, 2008 :thumbup:I have had several (I am 64). You did not say whether or not it would be a chemical or a physical test. By that I mean are they going to stress your heart withe medicine or by making you walk on a treadmill. If it is a chemical test, you may feel a little weird for a few minutes but it is not really uncomfortable. What was the biggest pain in the tush for me was the scan before and after your heart is stressed. You lie on the table and the scanner takes about 15 minutes to scan you. You have to lie still with your hands over your head and the scanner moves a couple of inches every 30 seconds or so until it is completed. As I said, this is done before they stress your heart and then again after. I hope this helps. It is not a painful procedure, just a tedious one.
