Tattooed Bandsters??

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone! So I have a fairly large lower back tattoo, that actually takes up most of the bottom half of my back, I call it my glorified tramp stamp, haha, I have another on my left foot. I was just wondering, since I got my tattoo almost 2 years ago, when I was baisically the same weight I am now, if tattoos shift around or change size, color darkness/lightness, or anything else that would make it look at all different with weight loss?? I would appreciate any feedback, post a pic if you can!

I have one on my upper arm, very close to my shoulder. It's not changing.

I have one on my hip that is small and will be removed with a my Tummy Tuck, lower body lift.

But I'm going to guess that because you are young and you are just at 100 pounds to lose you might do fairly well with your tat not getting messed up...what's your shape? Are you an apple, pear or hour glass? I suppose what I'm asking is where do you carry your weight?

Maybe someone can tell you more..

My tramp stamp looks pretty well exactly the same as it did when I got it.

I will try to dig up a few photos of it before and now if I can.

I have three tattoos- one on the back of my neck, one on my shoulder and a lower back tattoo too, but I got them all like 10 years ago when I was 16 and a size 11/12. Anyways, since gaining weight the lower back one has changed shape a little but not much. I only hope it doesnt get worse once I am banded and start losing.

I have lost just about 80lbs and I get tons of compliments on how it looks, no changes at all.

I have one on my ankle and have had it for 13 years....I have lost/gained 100lbs and no changes, but my ankles don't really change in size.

I do have a friend who had a frog around her belly button and after pregnancy it stretched out and the excess skin made it look really funny.

Haha I'm probably an apple, short and round, although I could also be an hourglass, maybe not with the tiny waist but whatever... lol. I think I would rather have a healthy body than a tattoo only me and a small handful of people ever see anyways lol. I do love it though, so I'm hoping it will stay the same. Thanks for all the comments!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
