Hmmm you might try Pennington's? They used to carry things similar to that. Really not sure if they do - otherwise you may try something like a Bridal store (or somewhere else) that sells Spanx SPANX - places like Champagne & Lace would sell spanx. Or Chantilly Bridal Chantilly Bridal Boutique - Vancouver, Canada

I was in an AdditionElle store when I was in Vancouver a couple of weeks ago and they sold both Spanx and an in-store brand of the same thing. I bought 1 (thigh length, high up the ribcage style) and it was $34.95 I believe.....and I should say, I'm not really happy with it. I don't knowif it's not the right size (1X) or if I'm too tall, but the top keeps rolling down and its annoying !!!

I have the same Spanx, I bought it at Christmas, and I have the same problem. It doesn't totally roll down, but it doesn't stay up over the backfat I want it to cover for too long! I AM happy with it, but I wish it would stay up. If I REALLY need it to stay up some day/evening, maybe I'll get my boyfriend to help me safety pin it to my bra?

Andree, sorry I can't help you!

andreerichards: Sorry you misunderstood what I was suggesting. If you contact the manufacturer, you may be able to find out if any stores in Vancouver are their distributors. There are many mail order stores on the internet, but they also supply specialty stores. You may be able to get a name and address to visit. Doddie

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
