wow! I think someone has a LOT of false expectations. Even if you are one of the fortunate people who dont have complications and you loose a million pounds it wont magically make you have a great life, be rich, or pretty or succesfull.

LOL.. Actually i'm already past pretty, very successful, and the best part about it is that I have lost weight before so i know what i am capable of. The band will just assist me in getting there faster, without starving myself..

Well i think you just reiterated exactly my point. You have lost weight before and it was Not succesfull. The point is your banding is new and you have no clue what if any complications you may have at some point. So you are far removed from being an expert and giving advice to anyone else or trying to judge people who have had complications.

As far as the rest of your comment is makes me chuckle and really deserves no response.

Well I dont think i tried to give anyone advise i just posted my opinion.. and as for u, u don't have to respond to any post i reply to..I have never made a judgement and will not make a judgement that is beneath me.. so before u pick a fight.. plz understand what u are fighting about.. r u fat.. ok.. i am to and im trying to loose weight. bottom line.. now I got pregnant and gained most of the weight i lost back due to PREGNANCY.. so me not being successful is oh not true... but u on the other hand... hold the judgements for someone that u actually know and not for someone that knows more than u think... so thanks but no thanks... smart azz.

You sure are defensive must have hit a nerve. I am not picking a fight your the one getting all hostile.

If you are so happy about your less than a month banding then why are you on a blog for people that are having theirs removed?

If you lost weight before and gained it back that would be UNSUCESSFULL!

No need to call me names your opinion means nothing to me but you do need to watch your language .Your languageis completely inappropriate just like you.

Have u been banded? Did u have your band removed? What can u add or take away from the post.. if something fine if nothing fine.. I am a grown woman and I can choose to say what ever i want. Now if u would like to disipline your children then do so, I am not a child of yours so plz. leave it as is... Actually U did strike a nerve, because u said that I am not an expert. I never said that I was. I never said said that I had a phd in the freekn lap band.. u r not to bright because u came on here with yr 2-3 post trying to put me in my place... this is lapbandtalk, and I go thru the boards to see what thing might apply to myself to see what i can take away from some of the people on this board, and one thing i will take away from u is to never respond to someone that only has 2 or 3 post...lol... cause if u look at it just like u said if i dont know anything because i have just been banded then u surly dont know too much cause u have just started posting on this site.... what a joke..

LOL - got to love the enthusiasm of the newly banded. My band was misplaced around my lower esophagus, not sure where in reasearching I could found that one? I just wish everyone would believe more of what they do read - like the real long-term statistics not the ones given to them by their doctors.

I believe you! Do you mind me asking if you always felt discomfort/pain with your band or did the pain progress over time? I'm just trying to figure out if you walked out of the hospital feeling like something was wrong.

Awwwww did I hurt your feelings? You cant make me defensive so dont bother trying. I do however strongly suggest before you embarass yourself any furthur that you educate yourself before giving advice to anyone and perhaps a basic spelling course might come in handy as well.

I do agree though that you are indeed quite a joke. I find you very amusing. Hurry and respond with something else inappropriate so I can have a laugh before I go to bed.

Although I think that she (mstrina...) may not be posting in the right area because this is for someone who has had their lap band removed or looking to and trust me I'm not the happiest camper in the world when it comes to lap bands but I don't think there's any need to insult anyone on any forum and it's not Rants and Raves, brandyII, (just my little opinion)

Hello. I actually thought all was "normal" for the first bit of time. I threw up almost daily, but my family members had bypass and threw up a lot, so I didn't know the difference. I was told my stomach was hypersensitive to fills, my stomach would swell completely shut if the fill person checked the amount of Fluid in my band. We got to where we had to slowly add small amounts over months' times - I had reflux, nausea, and existed on "soft" foods for months.

I finally gave in and went to a new surgeon. I was sent immediately for testing and found eons of problems - from a band placed wrong, to gall stones, gastritis, ulceration of my esophagus, duodenal spasms. I had both my gall bladder and band out last week and am very happy about it.

I agree so if you are going to put your 2 cents worth in then perhaps you should read all of the material where trina is becoming defensive insulting and calling me vulgar names. Not to worry though I have already turned her foul language in to the board mediators.

I believe we are here to discuss reasons for lap band removal not to be attacked by people who have not even had time to have complications yet.

Sad world we live in where people have nothing better to do than hand out advice when they have no idea what they are talking about.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
