Kami63 215 Posted March 31, 2008 People will always comment. It must be in their nature to notice when someone doesnt eat that much. At first it was bothersome, but it doesnt bother me now. My Hubby and I always share the dinner unless he is really hungry then I get something from the Kid's menu.... It always works out. In fact we went out this evening and had a really yummy low cal meal at Rockfish. We had trout and only spent $14 for the both of us...now if that is not savings, I dont know what is!!! :cursing:
Cheryl Ann 2 Posted March 31, 2008 I'm on the second week of my pre-op liquid diet, and have a Bat Mitzvah to attend on Saturday. There are TWO meals to contend with; a luncheon following services, and a dinner reception later the same day. I think I'll be bringing a couple of cans of SlimFast with me! coolcrystal 1 Posted March 31, 2008 I'm going on my first 'after being banded' cruise in about 3 weeks.. I'm so excited, but a big part of going use to be eating~! now I won't get to do that like before. So, I'm excited to see I can still go and enjoy it and have a good time. I'm getting a tiny fill about 10 days before departure. Hoping that will top me off before leaving....
NancyJ1960 0 Posted March 31, 2008 You may not be ready to be banded if you are that concerned about your social life/eating out. This is a lifetime change and you must have your priorities in order - and are committed for the long haul. Eat prior to going out then you can honestly say, 'i'm just not that hungry', and order a brothy Soup (ask for lots of broth), or look at the childrens menu or the sides - mashed potatoes work great, side of carrots you're all set. But please think carefully about the rest of your life and make sure this is right for you. Good luck!
