moonshadow2468 0 Posted March 28, 2008 Hi all, The no urination problem is gone (2 days of a catheter and flow max) I've moved from clear liquids to unclear liquids, so far so good. Sore but not in pain. I'm taking no pain meds at all. Don't want to "test" the band so I'm being very good about not eating anything I'm not supposed to or eating to quickly. The baby spoon helps remind me. I'm walking alot, it helps with the soreness. If you haven't been banded yet, understand you may very well question your decision the day before and the day after the banding. Suggestion.... write yourself a letter to read when the doubts hit, be clear as to why you are doing this. It's OK to sign the letter "Love"..... you need to love yourself. I was also banded on 3/25 and other than feeling like I have been punched in the stomach, I am doing well. I have a little diarrhea which I will call the doc about on Monday (it is a nice change from before where I was constipated all the time) and am learning how fast I can drink Water (very small sips, slowly), needed Gas-X once but on the whole I can't complain. My sister who had RNY a couple years ago was impressed with how well I am doing. I had a full liquid diet for 2 weeks before (actually ended up being 3 weeks because I caught a cold and my surgery was postponed a week) and am on full liquids for 2 weeks post, then 2 weeks mushies, then real food. The liquid diet really jump started my weight loss and got me used to eating a smaller amount, so hopefully when I go back on regular food I will be able to handle it ok.
