sbee 0 Posted March 28, 2008 Hi everyone, I just signed up for the Beast cancer 3-day walk. I can't believe it 3-days 20 miles per day is this insane?? I occasionally work out but this is going to be a challenge. I could really use your words of encouragement especially as I begin my training. Thanks. (By the way my ticker is probably way off. My current wt. is 165 lbs.) More info on the walk. gkeyt 0 Posted March 29, 2008 That is great! I had a coworker who did that last year. She said it was tough but she had a great time. She also lost a lot of weight training for it. Good luck, you will do great!

ackmaui 0 Posted March 30, 2008 Good Luck!! I am doing the Avon two day walk in Boston on May 17th and 18th. Walking everyday has really helped with the weight loss. It is so easy to drink all the Water that I am supposed to.
Jachut 487 Posted March 30, 2008 Yep, insane, lol! I just ran 10 miles this morning in a fun run and right now I feel like I've had my knee cartilage sucked out through a straw, my spine compressed and my hips filled with ground glass! But good luck! The physical agony (and probaby premature aging) is well worth the feeling of accomplishment.
mumof2boys 71 Posted March 31, 2008 I'm doing the 3-day in Washington DC, October 3-5. I have always wanted to do it but knew that I couldn't before because of my weight. After dropping 90 pounds so far, I think I can make it. I'm very excited about it and I have even formed a team. Good luck to you with your training and the walk. YOU CAN DO IT!!! Suzzzie. 3 Posted March 31, 2008 I want to do this too... but scared that it will be 'too much' for me and I'll be unable to finish! There isn't one in my city anyway... so I'd have to travel...
Cota129 0 Posted March 31, 2008 Yea, you!!!! :cursing: That is one of my goals for the coming year. Right now I know I couldn't do it, but I am already walking and getting in shape to be able to do it next year. Good luck!
