Mexico lap band, Idaho fills??

Recommended Posts

I had my lap band surgery in Mexico in 2007. I need to know if there is any doctors locally, Boise, Meridian or Nampa area that do fills for Mexico patients. Anyone know? Thanks. PS, I know about Pocatello, don't want to go that far if I don't have to.

I had my surgery in mexico and was able to get my fill in Las Vegas, NV (which is closer to my home in St. George, UT). I know that there is a fill center in Boise, ID. Go to fill centers usa on the web.

What part of Idaho do you live in? I was raised in Burley, Idaho and have lived in Driggs, Idaho as well.

I know that you are not interested in a fill in Pocatello, Idaho, however, if you change your mind and are a Fill Centers member, please contact Fill Centers, if you are not, please contact my office at 208-233-9355. Thank you so much. NP, Cyndi Rice

I have not had my surgery yet. Waiting for money but, I was approved to have it. I have chosen Mexico to have it done at. I live in Boise and I would be willing to drive to Pocatello to have fills if I had to. It's closer then going back to Mexico. I rather do them here in Boise though... I guess there are fill places in Portland. But, the flight expense. I don't know. I need to get all my ducks in a row before I get this surgery...........

Ok, I just called Cyndi with the number in Pocatello that "Rice Fill" gave. The prices are way better then what I have been searching for in other places. I think I have my fill center without a plane ticket........ yeahhh... Ok, now for the money to get this surgery............. I can wash cars.. "giggle"....

To bad I didn't have mine done yet or I would suggest we get a car pool going.... None in Boise as of yet.

I am just curious as to how much it costs for a fill in Pocatello? That is near by home town of Burley. It would give me a good excuse to travel to Idaho!!!!

I called and the first visit is $300 and each one after is $150..... I have searched a few and these are the cheaper prices.. I was thrilled.

Thanks!! I go to the fill center in Las Vegas, Nevada and I pay $165.00 a fill and had to pay $360 for the initial visit. It's good to know that the prices are comparable.

Yes it is. I just wish I had my surgery NOW! Waiting for bills to get paid and then I will get it done. Frustrating!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
