abby1 0 Posted March 28, 2008 I picked up a bug from one of my grandchildren and vomited nothing every half hour all Monday night. I did call my lap band doctor who did not seem overly concerned about my having done anything to my band. I am able to drink without a problem but I am having problems eating and my entire chest aches. Anyone had something like this before? How long does it last? Should I pretend I just had a fill and do that diet?:tongue_smilie:
Jachut 487 Posted March 28, 2008 Yes, stay on a liquid diet for a few days, move to mushies and graduate back to solids. You're no doubt sore, swollen and irritated and trying to eat might lead to PBing and prolong the recovery. Even when you dont have a band you sometimes have to baby your stomach back to normal food after a tummy bug.
Bel 1 Posted March 30, 2008 I wouldn't worry too much about the band slipping, i have a car crash a few years back and got a huge impact right across the band area and it didnt budge. They are tough buggers Bel
OH Juli 15 Posted March 31, 2008 Jachut gave sound advice. Slowly transition back to solids. You've been sick. I hope you get to feeling better soon. That's simply no fun at all.
