missheinlein22 0 Posted March 26, 2008 So how are you guys getting in so much Protein? I have to admit, its my first week and yea I havent really been good at it. My doctor said 60-80 grams a day is what I need. That just seems like so much because its hard for me to take in so much! When I start puree Friday I plan to add it to my foods so I'm hoping that'll help. But still 60 grams even seems high. How are you guys doing it!? Is it easier once you're able to eat normal? Do I still have to track my protein then? I was 418lbs when I started... I'm 5'10. I'm really just eating when I get hungry. chicken broth here, carnation instant Breakfast there, sipping Water throughout the day. I guess I'm doing it right. amamastime 0 Posted March 26, 2008 I take in about 60-65 a day. It is a struggle on some days... but others very easy. Just depends on my hormones and emotions.

faithmd 14 Posted April 7, 2008 Slim Fast Carb Control shakes have 20 grams per can. I LOVE Greek Strained Yogurt, *very* high in Protein. Try pureeing canned chicken, it's high in Protein as well. You could use powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury clear Protein powder to supplement your foods as well, it just can't be heated to a high heat or it gets lumpy. Jachut 487 Posted April 10, 2008 Its easier when you're able to eat normally, and it wont hurt you for a few weeks to fall a bit short.

Stewy929 0 Posted November 6, 2008 Protein for me has been rather easy. I have to have 70g per day right now before my surgery. I usually get in about 100-120. I really like this drink called ProTein pure performance drink. it has 40g or protein (kinda like gatorade) 0 carbs but does have alot of calories 160...but it works on gettin in the protein..then I just eat the rest of mine with chicken tuna eggs and cheese...
