sadie77 1 Posted March 26, 2008 I was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere closer than Chicago to have lap band done on Medicaid??? I live about an hour north of Peoria and about 3 hours south west of Chicago. Thanks and hope to get a reply soon!
sistasassy 6 Posted September 2, 2008 I am having my surgery done in Decatur by Dr. Albert Gilman. He accepts medicaid if you have a BMI of 40 or above. Once I had completed my psych evaluation and nutritional evaluation and they got everything submitted, it only took about a week and a half to be approved. SMILES67 0 Posted November 12, 2008 Does DayOne accept the Illinois Medicaid Card? I have been in contact with Dr. Gilmans office and they told me they will no longer accept the IPA, do you still go to the office for follow-up. Maybe see if I miss understood? And if anyone knows of anyone else. I live south of Danville by about 20 miles and don't have much for travel means so it is too difficult to get to chicago area. If anyone can help I would be forever greatful.

You went to the seminar and they helped you apply for medicaid or guided you throught the lapband process? Im trying to see if I will qualify for some type of public healthcare assistance.
