success4me 0 Posted March 26, 2008 I am one week out and have been on the road to recovery. Every day has been getting better except for last night. A sharp pain started on my left side, I think where the port is. It is scaring the #$%^&* out of me as I have heard horror stories of ports flipping! Has anyone else had this pain? Is it normal or from possibly overdoing it (I did the laundry and some light cleaning yesterday).
Ezma 2 Posted March 26, 2008 If the pain is near your port site it's very normal. I had to be up and around a lot right after my surgery and that's what happened to me. Once I took some time and slowed down to rest for several hours I felt a lot better. My pain was also in the left shoulder and back right behind the port. Hope you get feeling better soon. And never worry about contacting your doctor when you have things like this happen. Mine got mad at me for not calling. LOL
bullpen87 2 Posted March 26, 2008 I have those type pains as well. Twitches and quick pains random at times also from my shoudlers to my belly button. They would come and go and over time they finally went away. Congrats on your band! Welcome to the beginning of the rest of your life!:sneaky:

sizzlingseven 1 Posted March 26, 2008 hopefully you're taking your pain meds. I pulled out my gel pack that you can heat in the microwave and was like MAGIC!!! Calmed not only my shoulder, which was giving me the most pain, but also my side cramps (they feel like runner's cramps when you can't breathe and just want to stretch it out...) and just relaxed my whole body. Brought it to work today and stuck it under my dress.... A godsend!
