NASCAR Fans

I have seen the lap band called a "belly cop" a "tool" and several other things. I prefer to think of my band as a "restrictor plate". I am looking forward to the races here in Texas, BUT I am not looking forward to the temptations of many many beers and good ol' concession stand food.< /p>

I'll just have to cowboy up and meet the temptations head on. Missing the races is not an option.

Yup -- "restrictor plate" is precisely how I refer to my band, and that's the mental image I used when deciding to go with it.

24, 48, 42, 55, 7, 20 ---- and to my surprise, I just put an 88 sticker on my truck, now that he's driving for the 'right' team

Im going to ignore the "Right Team " comment about JR. LMAO

Ive been a JR fan for many many yrs.

But Hendrix UGHH. Cant stand Johnson or Gordon . I use to not like Stewart but slowly he rebel mouth grew on me and I like him a lot now !

I do like Mears too , Ive always liked him . He's quite keeps a low profile .

HATE the Bush Brothers , Kenseth and Biffle all whinny ass bitches !!!

Other than that I pretty much like everyone else !!

Ok, if Mindy can post in the "mens room" so can I! :scared2:

My favorite drive is Tony Stewart, that man is awesome, can flat out drive a race car, and I love his tell it like it is attitude.

I have to agree with Mindy, I love Junior, but I can't stand Gordon or Johnson and really wish he had gone with another team.

I also really like Harvick.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
