This thread is going to be sooo inappropriate!

Not to kill off the Fedex man, who, after all is just the messenger, you might need to wrap that envelope with farts in it with a lot of perfumed paper (or sweet spots or whatever that product the DS people use to kill the stench in their bathrooms.)

This thread is killin me. I can't laugh...port pain is still there, but if I hold my tummy I can giggle at all this....

What I can't believe is that a thread about farts and poops is 20 pages long! HA!

I wrote in the opening post that I felt like a child writing this but it is pretty darn funny. ;o)

I think we need more examples of how DS farts are beneficial to the person or society. Never know, we might have future DSers reading. ;o))))

Feel sorry for the police officer, huh?

An acquaintance of mine who had a surgery that left her with the dumping syndrome drove home one day (out in the country, 20 minutes from town) and her big ice cream sundae dessert for lunch kicked in. She had no choice, she pooped her pants. Said it was pure-de-awful and knew it was all over the car seat under her. She was so anxious to get home and so preoccupied that she didn't see the little highway patrol man on the side of the road holding the radar gun.

Yep. She was speeding. He pulled her over. She started crying and almost refused to roll down the window. When she did, he just tapped the side of her car and told her to get on home. Insult to injury, huh?

You know the funniest part of the story was that, get ready... she said it went all the way down into her shoes. I didn't have the nerve to ask if she was able to save them. To make matters worse, she was in her office attire.

Bless her heart is right. Guess it's a good lesson for all of us: leave them hot fudge sundaes alone.

I forgot to tell y'all that I saw an advertisement in the Skymall magazine on my flight for some liquid that covered up smells! Naturally, I thought of LBT and this thread!!! Considering I was stuck on the plane for 6 hours, I needed a good laugh!

There have been a few times I see some advertisement to cover up stinky and I think of this thread. I found another treasure on the OH DS board, I should have posted it. I'll try to find it. ;o)

WTH is she still so big? If DS is so faboo, shouldn't she be a twig? Your doggy, btw, is so cute!

Did you get an LBT email from me??

Thanks, my little baby Shih Tzu is pretty darn cute!

I'll check my email tonight!!

I thought the same thing, she looks large-ish. Maybe she hasn't had surgery yet? That's why I asked her if she had her DS yet.

What I don't get is why anyone cares what WLS someone else is having. One of my gf's had RNY years ago but is completely supportive of my decision to get LB. Of course, she might not be as supportive if I was going to have continual green paint peelers!!! ;-)

I'm showing my newbie-ness. That was my first email so I wasn't sure if it was delivered to your personal email like notifications for new posts.

Well hey, we are looking for better fuel alternatives...

So this one actually did get someone out of a ticket... hmmm.

Yellow poo!?! OMG WTH? Ewwwww

Crazeru: "I found that Protein bars with malitol as the 3rd or 4th item on the list, was bad, gas and explosive diarrhea." Again, eww...I can't imagine doing that at work!!

"I had a little orange slick from the mayo from my tuna salad, but didn't bother me." <thunk> I just fainted.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
