I met a guy on match.com . I was really impressed that he contacted me since I didn't have a picture posted. I said my town is too small to have my picture plastered on the internet.

He is a long distance runner. He has a great bod. I was nervous to tell him about the band. He said he was impressed that I cared enough about my health to have it done.

The best part is WASa- His son lives in Chandler! We have been together every day since we met. I think this is the LTR I have been looking for and was too afraid to look for when I was FAT!

Sorry to hijack the thread. I am sure once the newness wears off, he won't be over here every day.

Wow Denise, that is great! I'm happy for you and your new hot bod BF. A good man is hard to find, so if he is the guy, hold onto him!!

In my experience, men and stinky poop go hand in hand.

I plan on doing exactly that. I have been alone along time and from what I can tell, he is exactly who I have been looking for.

I have not been banded yet....tomorrow is my big day! Is there something I should know about?? what is DS? Should I expect to start having problems with gas? Should I warn my family and buy them gas masks? Please Reply:confused:

I use baby wipes to take off make up. Does anyone know what's good to take off eye makeup? I have been wearing makeup since I met the new BF

I get these cheap makeup remover moist towlette things from Dollar General. They work well too, and cheap. :cursing:

nancie,

DS is a duodenal switch. Different type of WLS altogether. They have major problems with stinky gas and bowel movements and yet they tend to think their shit don't stink and all other types of WLS suck and we do too for doing something different! It's crazy!

You will have gas pains after surgery but that is from the surgery itself. Walk a lot the first few days and that should take care of most of it. After that, gas is just like before surgery, relative to what you're eating and what your system produces.

Best wishes on your surgery tomorrow!

Oh! And as for eye make-up remover - Mary Kay makes a great Oil Free Eye Make-up Remover. It's like $14 for a bottle but lasts forever. Just use a cotton swab or a tissue. Conditions your eye lids/lashes as well as easily wipes off your make-up.

I wouldn't want to use soap around my eyes. I need to go to the dollar store. That's a good idea.

Where is WAS A? This is her thread. WasA where are you hiding?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
