Yesterday was my big day. I am a little sore but nothing that bad. I am on the tylenol with codeine only now. vicodin was good yesterday. I slept really well. My stomach is definitely flat. He removed 6.2 lbs from my abdomen. My thighs look better too but I will not see the true outcome until I can get into the girdle next week. Thanks everyone for the posts. I am healing nicely. My husband is a Godsend. I am ready for a glass of wine already! That is how good I feel. I hear it makes the worldy difference having a good anastesiologist. He said he uses a ton of pains meds during the procedures so lets see what tomorrow brings. I think day 3 might be the most difficult. Right now I am very comfortable. I get one of my drains out tomorrow so wish me luck. Julie

Thank you. The only thing strange so far is my belly button is really high now. Hopefully it will go down with the swelling.

Good to hear from you Julie. I never thought about the placement of the belly button. Mine is pretty low now, maybe thats why I like the mom jeans that come up above my belly button. :glare:

Yeah, I had no idea what to expect as far as the belly button goes but it is defiinitely higher. It will take some getting use to. It may show when I wear jeans for sure. Thanks everyone for the posts. I am in bed with my son's wireless computer so its really nice to have some friends out in the cyber world!

I'm new to the site actually just found it for the first time. I was banded August 06 and I'm scheduled for a Full TT and a huge hernia repair at the same time on May 15th. I can't wait. I'm trying to lose some more lbs. before surgery but was at a huge plateau for months. I bought the bodybugg last night and can already tell where I was going wrong with my diet/exercising. I was working out like crazy and dieting but wasn't doing enough to make a 1000 calorie deficit to lose. My trainer says this should do the trick. Is anyone else trying to lose some more weight before surgery???

Good luck to everyone.

Renee'

Well Renee I wanted to but I havent' gotten very far. I was only losing about a lb or 2 a month and then went in for a fill and lost 5 the first week, then it slowed down to about 2 more in the next few weeks. I only have a week left so I don't think I'm going to lose these last 8 lbs by then. I got my period so that threw me up a pound but if and when I dare get back on the scale I doubt that I'll have lost any more. But good luck to you! I'm glad you found us.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
