I must plant something that blossoms every year. I'm in a condo, so I will plant it on my balcony.

I love lilac trees and I loved getting to know Blossom, so I will plant a new lilac tree in beautiful Blossom's memory.

Yesterday I picked up a double bloom pink weeping cherry tree. She's 5 feet

tall and all full of buds.

We had to lower the back seat of the explorer and she hung out the back

window. My 7 year old daughter, Roxanne held on to her pot with every turn I

made, saying "it's ok Carolyn, were almost home"

Going to the Nursery this weekend and get some Rose Bushes. I am not very good at Gardens but told my husband about Blossom so I am sure he will plant them for me.

That is an awesome idea. I will get a blossoming bush of some kind to plant in the side yard. Dear Carolyn will be thought of throughout the US if we keep this up. She deserves all our thoughts and well wishes for the family.

My intention was to plant a rose bush by the fence. I was so dissappointed when my husband bought a blue bird house and nailed it right to the fence post where Blossom's Rose Bush was supposed to go. So I tried to come up with plan B. Where else can I plant a Rose Bush? Should I even plant a Rose Bush now? Time went by. Everytime I went out back I saw the blue bird house and thought about Blossom, what else can I do in her honor? Spring came and the Blue Birds moved in. Mom and Dad Blue Bird flitted to and fro bringing pine needles to build their nest. Soon, little blue eggs sat in a sweet pine needle nest inside that house. Awww. I wonder what I should do in honor of Blossom? Then I heard the little peeps of the hatched baby blue birds, and I knew I had missed it all along. THIS is Blossom's Blue Bird House, where families grow, nature flourishes, life endures. In honor of you, Blossom. I think of you often still.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
