Hmm and I don't drink soda either. Well at least I am not really missing out. I also heard you don't get free refills on the soda. Is that true?

Nope! No refills. Oh, sure, they'll refill your cup, but it'll cost ya the same as a new cup. Might as well add to the landfill, right?

Back when I used to drink lots of soda, and now with tea--if I am going somewhere I want to take a drink, I always stop at the Sonic. They use the styrofoam cup, and my drink does not Water down----even at the end of a long day, there will still be ice in my tea.

Years ago, they had the teeny little ice cubes---perfect for crunching!!!! I used to order whatever with extra ice, it was mainly just flavoring anyway, I wanted to cruch the ice. After my hysterectomy I never wanted it anymore, and now I hear that the craving to crunch ice is often a sign of Iron deficiency!!!

Anything else at the Sonic.....is pretty standard fast food.< /strong>

Sonic is ok. My daughter and I usually split an order of their popcorn chicken. But, I must admit that I love, love, LOVE their Peanut Butter fudge sundaes, they are sooooooo good!

Understanding as best I can from your broken English, it just seems like you're a pig. The Lap Band is not a cure for obesity, it is a tool to help you diet. It will provide restriction, but you have to know that you have to eat a little less. Don't eat until you are stuffed. Don't eat every half hour. It's redicilous.

I don't know how to post a quote from another thread, but I will give you the link anyway. love777pink is pretty harsh to a post op person (only 1 day out), and goes on to say she's lost 20 pounds this week!!!

Mmmm, Sonic. In my pre-band days, I'd go and get their mozzarella stick combo with sweet tea or root beer and a large order of extra-crispy tater tots. Grease on top of grease on top of sugar. No wonder I was fat.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
