Julie Geraci - goes for plastic surgery 4/21

Julie, I am having the thigh lift with the incision like you had. Now that some time has passed are you happy with the results? It sounds like the incisions were a real pain, but how are they now? Do you still think the thighs were the most painful? How long before you were comfortable wearing pants? My surgery is just 9 days away now.

I am not sure if I like my thigh lift or not. I can't really tell the difference. They can't take too much fat out because the skin is really thin. I hope you like your results more. Let me know how you do. It took me good 4 weeks to be able to wear pants. I had to basically stay in loose fitting pants like sweats for the first month. Now I can wear anything. When you go to the bathroom you bleed a lot due to the incision. That takes a couple weeks to heal before you will not be bleed. Let me know how you do. Mine was almost $9k. Hope you got a better deal.

Thanks Julie. I am going to talk to my doctor again about this. I don't really have any fat left on my thighs (my legs have always been the thinnest part of me) but I do want the skin to be nice and tight and I have quite a bit of saggy skin! For the expense and the difficult recovery I definately want to be happy with the results. I'd rather have the long scar and good results than the small groin incisions and not be happy. Thanks for your reply. Ill let you know how it all comes out. Becky

Do you have any B&A pictures that your able to post?

After reading your post I am wondering if you how well you liked your surgeon (1-10) and would you recomend him?

Thanks.

Hi There XX Begone, I don't have my after pictures yet. Do to the fact that he wasn't aggressive enough with the upper ab lippo I wouldn't recommend him. I need to go back in for a revision in 6 months already. He does great after care though.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
