Can Someone Please Tell Me If I Can Ever Eat Bread Again?

Recommended Posts

I'm a little confused about the whole "bread" situation.

I was told "no bread", because it "doughs up" and doesn't digest well.

Then, I noticed that I can have "crisp toast".

Is the only way I can ever eat bread again is to make sure it's toasted really well??

Does this mean I can never eat plain white or wheat bread, or hamburger and hotdog Buns, or anything like that without "toasting them"??

I've read about people eating biscuits, croissants, wraps, etc. on here.

I'm a little confused!!

Thanx to anyone willing to answer this question for me!!

I can eat all types of bread. Sometimes it's hard to down it but if I eat it slowly, no problem.

BUT - never, ever, in the morning...

Thanx, Losingjusme!!

I guess this is going to have to be a "trial and error" thing!!

I did eat a piece of really crispy wheat toast this past weekend and did just fine.

I ate very slow and chewed it really well before I swallowed it.

Well, can you? I don't see why not. But I've read some on here do have issues with different types of bread.< /p>

But, I eat Subway still. But I can't seem to get a bun from Arby's or McDonald's down. Weird, huh?

That is weird...

I guess I'll just have to "test" different kinds of bread and see how I do.

My doctor's office was like "no bread", and then I read about all these people eating bread...I was perplexed!!

I've had one fill and I still can eat anything (including bread) as long as I don't eat too quickly.

Pizzaman can still down an occasional slice.

I can eat a little bit of bread. Yesterday I ate 1/2 a burger with only the bottom piece of the bun. I have a hard time with store bought tortillas but seem to be able to eat a homemade tortilla. Store bought tend to be thicker.

on some days i can some days I cant. However , Personally after 9 months I find i dont want /care for bread much and I dont eat it i dont care one way or another. After being banded for longer periods of time you will find , bread is just bread , its not that big of a deal if you eat it or not . At least that's how i am.

Every now and then I see someone eating a big juicy burger and think " gee that looks good to be able to eat a burger again like that " But that is about it .

Im eating a very think California pizza Pizza right now . no issues.

I dont really care to eat toast, Buns, ect much anymore.

everyone is different though .

HTH

I can eat all types of bread but some types can be hard.

But yes, I can eat it. And do most days. Mostly wholegrain or toast and not soft white Buns or McDonalds or Subway or anything like that. It sounds awful to never eat something again but for something like McDonalds, its so much work to eat it that its just not even enjoyable in the slightest and you naturally just go off those food and dont want them.

Technically I can, but I don't like the way it feels, so I don't anymore. I haven't tried since my last fill, but I imagine I still could. bread lost it's appeal awhile ago though.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
