Recommended Posts

I moved and am looking for any fill Docotors in Wisconsin. I haven't been able to get 1 to even call me back. *SIGH*. I had my surgery in Detroit ... I just can't keep making the 9 hr drive. Due to the snow ... haven't gone at all. Anyone know of anyone? THANKS.

You didn't say what part of Wi you are from..If it's the southern part, you could try the UW bariatric clinic 608-265-7090.

Sorry. I am in Port Washington area. I found this web site: Welcome to New Surgical Associates...

and think I may have luck! It's 250.00 a fill. They are suppose to send me some info. to fill out ... but, they didn't say no. I called others that wont take anyone that's not their patient. I explained that I moved ... they didn't care. O-well. So HAPPY I found one! Woooohhhoooooo!

The one I called is Dr. Chua. He charges $300 for the first visit + $300 per fill, so the first visit is $600 cash in hand. If you did not get banded by him he will not bill your insurance.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
